Giving a New Meaning to Ouija-Board Play

What if there was a game in which the characters had something they desperately needed to communicate to the players? As players we would have no idea what it was, at least initially, and the characters would have no way to directly contact us. Through play, the message would form gradually, like the moving planchette of a Ouija board. What would they tell us, and what would happen once we got the message?

This idea scares me a little, because I have no doubt that messages could be passed back and forth.

for some reason, something along the lines of the supernatural equivalent of pictionary comes to mind “vampire weasel?”
