This reminds me of some of the stuff about humans being meat machines in Nobilis: <i>The river says: "I choose my course, and run where I wish. For humans, this is not so: animal drives control their mind, and all that truly determines their actions is the lightning in the meat."</i> Are not humans merely mobile difference engines powered by blood? Are we really any different from THEM!!!??? Meat apologists are awesome. This reminds me of some of the stuff about humans being meat machines in Nobilis:
