200 Roaches in a Box

Well, 180. I kept 20+ here for hand sales, but the rest are tucked into 41-card sets and on their way to IPR. 41 card sets, you ask? When we sorted the cards, we accidentally substituted an extra “bonus card” for one of the ten Roach cards. Ordinarily this wouldn’t be a big deal, but it skewed the ratio enough that I felt it necessary to go back and insert a Roach card into every deck. On my own, on Sunday morning. Such is the glamorous life of a game designer.

Roach Poesy

I had space to fill on the back of the Roach Fun Pak, and this troika of bad limericks is the result:

The Roach, any layman can see
Is a murderous bug on a spree
There is no appliance
In nature or science
More suited for mayhem than he!

On the Pemberton campus, one finds
All the faculty out of their minds
That adorable Roach
Is an excellent coach
In the art of destroying mankind!

The Roach, that delectable chap
Will emerge from his thousand-year nap
And he’ll wriggle with glee
As his slaves trim the tree
At the holiday dance – holy crap!

Adam Dray’s got an indie gaming MUSH up and running, which is pretty cool, but even cooler is the fact that he’s coded a set of Roach cards for it:
Highly Awesome, Adam Dray!
