Game prep notes from 1998-99. We were playing a low fantasy game using GURPS. I was struggling to make the game something my hardcore sim experience couldn’t address. I just didn’t have the tools.

Grey Redux

Grey Ranks, Grey Ranks … back for more. Remi’s promising me some ideas for art by the end of the week (It’s posted on the Internets now, dude, so the heat is on) and I’ve written the two judges I happen to know who wrote a ton of feedback that the MACE guys mulched. Looking at the material free of the goofy contest constraints, I see coolness. One thing will be using variable die sizes to scale the challenge. I think the dice will get progressively less friendly (I think this means bigger but not sure) for resistance missions and progressively more friendly for romance missions. I’m obsessed with making the game work identically, mechanically, for romance and nazi-slaying.
