A few reviews of the Companion are already coming out, and so far they have been fair and positive!
Review: Fiasco Companion (critical-hits.com)
“If you are a hardcore Fiasco addict — especially one attracted to the idea of crafting your own playsets and hacking the system — the Companion is a must buy.”
Opportunity Actions: Misery Loves Company — A Fiasco Companion Review (rpgmusings.com)
“I find the Pro Tips section to be especially useful, as ideas in here can help turn a workable Playset into a burgeoning Fiasco.”
Let us know if you see other reviews. We’ll add more to this list as they come out.

It’s time for the 2011 Origins Game Fair to begin! Jason will be there for the official release of the Fiasco Companion and to play games with everyone he can put in a chair.
You can find our games for sale at Indie Press Revolution in booth #807. In addition, you can find Jason at Games on Demand, located in room Delaware A, where volunteers will be on hand to run games served to order across five tables!
And don’t forget to vote for the Origins Award! We would be very happy if you voted for Fiasco for Best Role-Playing Game but please vote in any case! Origins Award voting is done in Exhibit Hall D until Noon on Saturday.
Have a great time in Columbus!

Our somewhat-delayed Playset of the Month for June is Break a Leg!
The director slept with half the cast, your lighting designer is homicidal and that bastard from the Daily News just panned the show in his column. You’ll be lucky on opening night if the cast remembers their lines, nobody mentions the Scottish Play and the scenery doesn’t fall down mid-performance. But hey, the art is all that’s important, right?
This playset, written by Megan Pederson and John Kelly of the Jankcast crew, is a tribute to the grand traditions and superstitions of the Theatre–from the casting couch to the Great White Way.

From the press release:
The committee of the Diana Jones Award is happy to announce the shortlist for its 2011 award. Boiled down from a longlist of 22 nominees, this year the list contains five candidates that in the opinion of the committee exemplify the very best that hobby-gaming has produced in the last twelve months. In alphabetical order, they are:
- Catacombs, a board game from Sands of Time Games, by Ryan Amos, Marc Kelsy, and Aron West
- The Dresden Files Roleplaying Game from Evil Hat Productions, by Leonard Balsera, Jim Butcher, Genevieve Cogman, Rob Donaghue, Fred Hicks, Kenneth Hite, Ryan Macklin, Chad Underkoffler, and Clark Valentine
- Escape from the Aliens in Outer Space, a board game from Santa Ragione and Cranio Creations, by Mario Porpora, Pietro Righi Riva, Luca Francesco Rossi, and Nicolò Tedeschi
- Fiasco, a roleplaying game from Bully Pulpit Games, by Jason Morningstar
- Freemarket, a roleplaying game from Sorencrane MRCZ, by Luke Crane and Jared Sorensen
The winner of the 2011 Award will be announced on Wednesday 3rd August, at the annual Diana Jones Award and Freelancer Party in Indianapolis, the unofficial start of the Gen Con Indy convention.
